Delivery

Charges

Postage and packaging costs are charged according to weight and are FREE for all orders over £50 (excl VAT) to UK Mainland (EXCEPT Highlands & Islands of Scotland, Isle of Wight, Scilly Isles and Isle of Man)

Your shipping charge will be calculated when you add goods to your shopping basket.

Shipping charges are subject to VAT where applicable (so if you order £20 worth of zero rated goods there won't be any VAT added to your shipping charge, however if you order £20 worth of standard rated goods then VAT of 17.5% will be added to your shipping charge. A pro-rata VAT amount will be added for mixed supplies).

When you add items to your basket your order will default to the cheapest price band according to weight so for example if your parcel weights 4.00kg the shipping charge will default to £5.00 for our standard service, but in the drop down box you could still select Next Working day £10 if required.

Please note: if you want to send to multiple addresses they have to be processed as separate orders as our website cannot process multiple addresses. Free shipping applies to all orders over £50. If you order 10 hampers and they go to 10 different addresses this will be classed as 10 separate orders and shipping charges will apply if the order value is less than £50.
Please contact us on 0191 270 5116 if you would like to arrange an order for multiple gifts going to different addresses.

Dispatch

Your order will be processed on the same day it's placed, unless it's after 5pm or on a weekend or Bank Holiday and then it will be the next working day. You will normally receive your goods within a couple of days but note that it can take up to 7 working days of placing your order. If it will be longer than that we will keep you updated and possibly ship your order in two consignments.

Our parcels are shipped using either the Royal Mail or Simplyfair's Courier (Business Post).

Our couriers will deliver between 9am to 5pm. A card will be left if there is no-one available to receive the parcel. You will be asked to contact the local depot to arrange a re-delivery or to collect your parcel from them.

Delivery is available Monday to Friday, but is not available on weekends or Bank Holidays. Orders placed on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays will be treated as having been received on the next working day. Please bear this in mind when requesting 'Next Working Day Delivery' as anything ordered after 12 noon on a Friday for example won't be dispatched until Monday and therefore won't arrive until Tuesday.

When you enter a preferred delivery date during check out or as part of your order for a hamper, this date is not guaranteed and we will aim to deliver your parcel within 2 working days (either side) of the delivery date specified. For special occasions, such as birthdays, anniversaries and so on we advise you to aim for the parcel to be delivered at least one day before and that you make a special note of this during check out.

If you need your parcel urgently then you can select our 'Next Working Day' express service. Just remember that orders need to be in by 12.00 noon and we cannot guarantee any 'out of stocks'. The charge for this service starts at £10 for up to 20kg. This service is only available Monday to Friday, it is not available on weekends or Bank Holidays. Orders placed on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays will be treated as having been received on the next working day. Please contact us if you require next day delivery to Northern Ireland, the Channel Isles, the Isle of Man, the Scilly Isles or the Highlands & Islands of Scotland.

For deliveries to the Highlands, Islands, IOW and Northern Ireland please select the correct Shipping Option during checkout as they are charged by weight - this will be calculated during the checkout procedure. There is no FREE delivery to these areas.

We use the Royal Mail Standard Parcel Service for these deliveries up to 10kg and Business Post for deliveries over 10kg.

Unfortunately we do not offer shipping to outside of the UK.

In addition, if a parcel cannot be delivered due to there being no-one available to take delivery a card will be left requesting the recipient to contact them to arrange a convenient time for delivery. The courier will make a second attempt to deliver the parcel and if this fails the parcel will be returned to us. At this point we will refund you for the goods (less the delivery & return cost) or you can request for the parcel to be re-delivered. This will be charged at the original rate plus any return charges incurred.

Packaging

We care about the environment and as such we use recycled material as much as possible. We re-use packaging sent to us by our suppliers whenever we can and our 'new' boxes are made from 60% recycled material and we encourage you to re-use your packaging or recycle it. Therefore don't be alarmed if it looks like your box has been used before. However, we only use 'new' boxes for our gift hampers as we appreciate presentation is important.

Our environmentally sound bio-degradable loosefill is manufactured from starch and is compostible - dissolving in water to give a toxic free waste. In addition we use FSC sustainable packing paper to cushion our parcels - this is also compostible. And let's not forget the FSC aaproved natural woodwool we use to cushion the goods in our hampers & gift baskets which is also compostible.

We also use degradable bubble wrap (and yes it's actually green!!) which degrades within 1 year. Any packaging that can't be re-used is sent for recycling. Of course we do have to use some conventional packaging at times but we do limit such use.

Carbon Emmisions

Using a home delivery service to buy all your fairtrade, organic and sustainable products can result in lower carbon emissions as one van makes several deliveries in one journey unlike a trip to the shops where it's often one car per shopper.
