. The natural alternative to cane sugar. Fruisana Fruit Sugar is a low GI sugar, making it the perfect sweetener for all types of food and drink and the natural alternative to cane sugar. It is a more stable and satisfying energy source and you can avoiding the energy 'highs and lows' that you get with refined sugar! GVS
Fructose is a fruit sugar found naturally in most fruits and honey. Unlike the sucrose and glucose found in regular sugar, fructose is metabolised through the liver where it is converted into glucose and then slowly released as and when the body needs energy.
For those concerned with weight loss, the use of Fruisana Fruit Sugar as an alternative to cane sugar offers two fold benefits. Fructose is a more stable energy source than cane sugar offering greater satisfaction and avoiding the highs and lows associated with normal sugar intake. It is also much sweeter so less is required.
Fruisana is 100% fructose in a white granulated format, which forms a healthy, natural alternative to cane sugar.
Fruisana contains the same number of calories as glucose or cane sugar but is almost twice as sweet so less is required.
Fruisana tastes the same as regular sugar and leaves none of the unpleasant after taste common with artificial sweeteners.
Fruisana is also a more long term energy source than regular sugar reducing the energy highs and lows which can lead to food cravings and hunger pangs.
Fruit sugar is classified as having a low GI = 19 compared to 100 in glucose and 65 in sucrose - making it a natural, long lasting energy source.
