VOTED 'BEST LOOSE LEAF TEA' IN BBC GOOD FOOD MAGAZINE MARCH 2007!
The Banaspaty Tea Estate lies in the Karbi Anglong district of the Assam valley, with the heat and humidity the entire region becomes one giant greenhouse. The climate and terrain, together with the indigenous tea bushes, creates the characteristic full-bodied malty Assam tea, which is strongly flavoured and has dark liquor.
This organic Assam is also Fairtrade, including a premium for uncompromising social welfare on the tea estate for the 300 people on the Banaspaty Tea Estate.
This is a light malty tea that's an excellent tea to drink in the morning - there's really no better way to start the day.
Brewing tip: 2 teaspoons, boiling water, 3 - 4 minutes
