The Ambootia Tea Estate sits in the foothills of the Himalayas, 400 miles due north of Calcutta, close to Nepal and Bhutan and produces a high-grown tea with a heavenly, luxurious flavour. At 6500 feet, the climate is temperate, but rainy, and you can see the scorching plains down below and the mighty Kanchenjunga - almost as high as Everest. Ambootia grows Darjeeling tea using organic farming practices, following the holistic and herbal approach of Biodynamic farming principles.
